The musical that became a phenomenon in the 1970s, and cemented stars John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John as movie icons. Set in the 1950s, Grease is a high school love story between a bad boy, rebel Danny Zuko, and a good girl, Sandy. Having fallen in love during summer break, they are forced to part when Sandy must return home to Australia with her family. They unexpectedly meet again at the beginning of the new school year at Rydell High School. But Danny’s attitude has changed. As the leader of a greaser gang called the T-Birds, he tries to act cool in front of his friends and keep his distance from Sandy, who has joined a girl gang called the Pink Ladies.
