Children of Paradise is widely considered one of the greatest French films of all time.  The film was produced under overwhelmingly difficult circumstances during the Nazi occupation of France. Set in the Parisian theatrical world of the 1830s, the story revolves around a beautiful and charismatic courtesan, Garance. She is loved by four different men, an actor, a criminal, a count, and a mime. Each man forces her to love on their terms.
