Thai Cinema: Ten-Year Challenge

Meet five directors from five generations in the Thai filmmaking community at “Thai Cinema: Ten-Year Challenge”, organized by Thai Film Archive (Public Organization). Thanit Jitnukul (Bang Rajan), Yongyoot Thongkongtoon (The Iron Ladies), Pakpoom Wongpoom (Homestay), Kanittha Kwanyu (Arpat), and Chantana Tiprachat (Na Han) will join the discussion on the challenges faced by Thai filmmakers over the past 40 years, from the studio days of the late 1980s to the independent scene of the 2010s.
The discussion will be followed by a special screening of the film “Ten Years Thailand”, an omnibus of four short films which imagine the dystopian present and future of Thailand.
